BU is Back! Bringing Boston to the Beltway
On April 5, President Robert A. Brown discussed the University’s priorities in research, student aid, and international education with members of Congress on April 5th. In conversations with Senators Ed Markey (D-MA) and Mike Rounds (R-SD) and Massachusetts Reps. Niki Tsongas (LAW ’88) and Joseph Kennedy, Brown spoke about the value of basic research and universities’ role in a global society. He also hosted a reception on Capitol Hill attended by more than 100 alumni and key stakeholders, including Rep. Michael Capuano (D-MA). During his remarks, he shared updates about the University’s growth as a research and education powerhouse.
