Wall Push-Ups with Rick
While exercise for back pain is important, it’s also critical to remove the cause of strain that is creating pain in the first place. Try wall push-ups to help improve your posture. Rick DiScipio, Assistant Manager of Fitness at FitRec, demonstrates proper form on this exercise in the video below.
1) Place your feet together.
2) Stretch your arms out in front of you, about shoulder width apart.
3) Keep your chest high.
4) Bend the elbows and lower your nose to the wall. Keep your elbows out. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the bottom of the movement.
5) Return to start position.
Maintain a straight back and neck during this exercise. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps.
