February 2024 Student Employees of the Month

Aquatics – Danielle O’Connor
Danielle has been a solid presence in our department and has shown what a great team player she is through and through. Her efficiency and professionalism make her a standout employee and the perfect example of what makes an Employee of the Month candidate!
EMS – Terry Kwamo
Terry has been an absolute dynamo since joining us back in September! Her passion for helping patients and delivering top-notch care is simply infectious. She consistently goes the extra mile, always ready to jump in and assist BUEMS by taking on additional shifts without hesitation. And let’s talk about her latest feat – stepping up big time with a lengthy shift in February, which made a massive difference for us. Terry’s dedication and hard work truly make her stand out, and its high time we recognize her as our Employee of the Month! Huge congratulations and heartfelt thanks, Terry! You’re a rockstar!
Facilities – Fiona Belford
As a returner, Fiona has proved herself invaluable to the front desk and TTC operations. Fiona is dependable, poised, and brings a joyful spirit to all that she does. Fiona is able to learn a new protocol and implement it immediately. Because of these admirable traits, Fiona is February’s SEOM for Facilities! Thank you for the positivity and fun that you bring to the desk, Fiona. We have loved seeing you grow as a student and employee throughout your career at FitRec!
Fitness – Mia Mullin
Mia has shown excellent service to members and fellow attendants and follows up with the management team, going above and beyond to ensure proper protocols on the fitness floor. Mia arrives at their shift on time and displays professionalism and productivity while on shift. Mia has also shown excellent reliability when scheduling fitness attendant shifts.
Intramurals – William Yi
William has become one of the most dependable referees in the intramural program. Beyond his acumen and confidence, his relentless work ethic makes him a deserving Employee of the Month.
Outdoor Programs – Sylvie Cressman
Sylvie works for the trip program, and she has quickly established herself as an outstanding member of the staff due to her openness, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn. A ridiculously talented climber and tireless backpacker, Sylvie shares her experience and passion with everyone who signs up for a trip and meets participants where they are. Sylvie has earned rave reviews from fellow staff as well as participants on trips due to her friendliness and engagement with everyone. Outdoor Programs celebrates Sylvie’s contributions. Well done, Sylvie!
PERD Administration – Lucy Purvis (Marketing)
Lucy has been an incredible addition to the marketing team. Most notably, she led our design refresh for our current marketing campaign. Her strong work ethic, creativity, and eye for design strategy never cease to amaze us! Thank you for all you do, Lucy!
Pro Shop – Cassie Yang
If you visit Pro Shop in the afternoon, you might run into Cassie! Cassie is a dedicated Pro Shop staff member who is consistent, friendly, and empathetic to patron concerns. She is always on time and can be depended upon in all situations! The Pro Shop can often be chaotic and busy, but Cassie handles it like a champ. We are thankful for you, Cassie. Thank you for your hard work!
