Hanna is a PhD candidate in Economics at Boston University. Her main fields of interest are labor and development economics as well as economic history, and she is particularly interested in the role gender plays in economic decision making. Her current research looks into drivers and effects of internal migration in Indonesia. Hanna holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Public Economics from Free University Berlin. Before coming to BU, she worked at the German Institute of Economics Research (DIW) Berlin.
