Danielle Trachtenberg is a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at Boston University. Her research interests are in international trade and macroeconomics with a focus on empirical work. Danielle has a professional background in policy-relevant economic analysis with four years of experience at the U.S. International Trade Commission where she analyzed the impact of changes to trade policy using simulation, econometric and statistical models. Her current research examines whether offshoring of production in an industry is a complement or substitute to the industry’s domestic employment.
