Kehan Wang is a Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow of the Global China Initiative (GCI) at the GDP Center and a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at BU. He received his B.A. in English (2011) and Master of Laws in Diplomacy (2013) from China University of Political Science and Law, and M.A. in International Relations (2015) from New York University. His research focuses on natural resource governance and conflict management in Latin America, China-Latin American relations, Chinese overseas investments in natural resource extraction. He is currently studying social conflicts around the Chinese owned Las Bambas copper mine in Peru, among other mega mining projects.
