Muyang Chen is a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the GDP Center and a Ph.D. Candidate at the Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington. Her doctoral research examines national development banks and export credit agencies in China, Japan, and Germany. Muyang has conducted research at the China Development Bank, the Exim Bank of China, the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (Seoul), the New York Times Shanghai Bureau, and China Policy (Beijing). She received B.A. degrees from Peking University and Waseda University and an M.A. degree from University of California, Berkeley. A native speaker of Chinese, Muyang is also fluent in Japanese and Korean and speaks basic German.
