Susana del Granado has a Ph. D. in environmental sciences, focused on environmental policy and natural resource management, from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF). She also holds an MS and MPA from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
She has worked as an associate researcher at the Ecology Institute and at the Graduate School in Development Studies (CIDES) at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, leading research projects on rural community adaptation to climate change (at the former position) and on a comparative view of non-renewable resource management records with a historical institutional focus.
