Marilou Uy

Non-Resident Senior Fellow, Global Economic Governance Initiative

Marilou Uy is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow for the Global Economic Governance Initiative. She is the former Director of the Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four on International Monetary Affairs and Development (G-24).

Prior to her current position, she was the Senior Adviser to the Managing Director at the World Bank where she also served as Sector Director for the Africa Financial and Private Sector Development Department, Director of the Financial Sector Operations and Policy Department in the Financial Sector Vice-Presidency as well as Chair of the Financial Sector Board. 

Ms. Uy is a current member of the Task Force on Climate, Development and the International Monetary Fund, a consortium of experts working to advance development-centered climate policy at the IMF.
