Marina Zucker-Marques is a Senior Academic Researcher for the Global Economic Governance Initiative and serves as Team Lead for the Financial Stability workstream. Formerly, she was a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Debt Relief for a Green and Inclusive Recovery Project and affiliated with SOAS, University of London. Previously, she worked at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in the Debt and Development Finance Branch (Globalization and Development Strategies). She is an expert on sovereign debt, the Global Financial Safety Net, international finance and currency internationalization. She is also co-chair for the Brazil T20 Task Force 3 on reforming the International Financial Architecture. Marina holds a PhD from Freie Universität Berlin, where she defended her thesis with highest distinction on institutional and political-economic drivers of renminbi Internationalization. Marina holds a Bachelor’s degree from FACAMP, and a master’s degree from Zhejiang Gongshang University.
