Rosario Gomez is a Researcher at Universidad del Pacífico Research Center and Senior Professor at the Academic Department of Economics. She holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics (MSc) from the University of Illinois (USA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico. She has conducted research for the International Research Center for Development (IDRC) and the Canadian Agency for International Development (CIDA), among other institutions. Former Vice Minister of Strategic Development of Natural Resources at the Ministry of the Environment. She has been a consultant to the Andean Community of Nations (CAN), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the National Environment Council (CONAM), the Association of Exporters (ADEX), and the Agency for International Development (USAID). She is currently member of Pronaturaleza’s Board of Directors and Centro Conservación, Investigación y Manejo de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (Center for the Conservation, Research, and Management of Protected Natural Areas) Governing Board – Cordillera Azul (CIMA- Cordillera Azul).
