Waqas Munir is a Non-Resident Fellow with the Global Economic Governance Initiative at the Boston University Global Policy Development Center. He is a graduate of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship program at Boston University (2017-2018), a US State Department initiative which brings distinguished mid-career professionals to United States to spend a year for professional development. During his fellowship, he worked as a Research Fellow with the GDP Center, where his research, which was later published at the Journal of International Development, focused on scaling up lending at multilateral development banks, benefits and cost of expanding and optimizing balance sheet. He carries around 15 years of diversified experience in credit ratings, impact investing, banking and policy-oriented research and currently works with BlueOrchard Finance, a leading impact investment manager in the capacity of Senior Investment Rating and Risk Specialist.
