Yongzhong Wang, New Fellow at GEGI, is deputy director and senior fellow at International Investment Department, Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CAAS). He also is a Professor at World Economics Department, Graduate Schoolf of CAAS.

He received his PhD in Economics from Economics Department, Graduate School research in Japan Center for Economic Research and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His research interests cover international macroeconomics, monetary economics, international investment, and economic growth. He has published two books and over twenty papers in China’s leading academic journals, such as Journal of World Economy, China & World Economy, and Chinese Finance Review. He has also hosted and participated in some projects financed by ministries and municipal governments in China. His books and papers mainly include: The Practice and Performance of China’s Monetary Sterilizations(2013); China’s Sovereign Investment: Theories, Issues and Countermeasures (2015); Soft Budget Constraints and China’s Economic Growth and Inflation (2008); Income Uncertainty, Stock Market and China’s Household Money Demand (2009).
