What to Pack.
There is not a lot of room in your bedrooms so only bring what you need for the semester. The group flight reservation price includes one checked luggage. For traveling you should have an anti-theft bag.
You must be able to carry all your bags on your own.
Keep in mind airline weight restrictions.
Label your luggage with the residence’s address. Tag your bag with your room number if you know it.
Luggage can get lost. Keep some essentials in your carry-on bag as well as a flash drive with all your official documents.
If you intend to do outdoor sports such as hiking or skiing pack what you need. You can hire equipment such as skis at the resorts.
Spring and Fall semester students should bring clothes for both hot and cold weather. It’s normally cold from mid-October through to April. The weather is normally warm from April through to October. You can swim in the lakes from late May through to the end of September. Summer students should bring warm clothes if they intend to go above 2000 meters.
Dress code: For your internships you must wear business casual office clothes. For certain classes, including all sessions of the Public Health courses, and for all class field-trips, students will be required to wear ‘business casual’ clothing in keeping with the local norms of dress

Bring electrical converters and adaptors (see the electrical appliances webpage).
Bedding is provided. Bring your own bath towels.
Hairdryers, straighteners, shavers and power strips from the USA are not permitted in the residence, even with a voltage converter. There is a limited supply of hairdryers & straighteners you can borrow, otherwise they are cheap to buy on the high street.
Packing for outdoor pursuits. You may wish to go hiking in the mountains during your stay. To avoid illness, injury or death, you must have the correct attire and provisions. We do not recommend that you bring skis, ski boots or snowboards as these are difficult to transport on the flight, and there isn’t much storage room in the residence. You can normally hire these in the resorts.
