Job summary
The Research Coordinator will support the F.I. Proctor Foundation’s Principal Investigator’s research activities in the field of ocular inflammatory disease, which includes epidemiology, observations studies, and clinical trials that involve domestic and international collaboration; responsibilities include study design and implementation, data management and analysis, grant writing and publications, communication and coordination of collaborating sites, and coordinating the Proctor Foundation’s participation in industry-sponsored research related to uveitis; this position requires an employee who can be relied upon for primary statistical analyses of a complex nature, play an integral role in designing and implementing new research studies (including international clinical trials), design and manage databases for data collection, provide basic training and support in statistical and data-related principles to residents, fellows, and other employees, and draft manuscripts for publication; the incumbent must be able to multi-task, provlem-solve, and apply creative solutions to new and unexpected situations with limited supervision; in addition, the employee must be able to communicate effectively with international collaborators and coordinate projects overseas, sometimes in the absence of the principal investigator; and perform other duties as assigned. NOTE: This position may include travel to India.
