Physicians for Human Rights Asylum Program Associate

Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) is an independent organization that uses medicine and science to stop mass atrocities and severe human rights violations against individuals. As one of the original coordinating committee members of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, PHR shared the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize.

PHR is seeking an Asylum Program Associate (APA) to coordinate case placement for survivors of torture and other human rights abuses who are seeking asylum in the United States.  The APA will assign cases for forensic evaluation to PHR’s nationwide network of health professional volunteers, recruit new health professionals, organize training seminars, oversee relationships with attorneys, and will support general asylum program operations.
