About the organization:
Swasti is a health resource centre, that seeks to enhance health and well being through innovation, particularly for the marginalized. Swasti works aim to advance health by mobilizing communities to better address healthcare priorities, and by improving the efficiencies and effectiveness of organizations in the health sector. We combine sectoral knowledge with gender and equity perspectives and management skills. Swasti is a registered not-for-profit society that is a part of the Catalyst Group of institutions that has been working in the development sector for over a decade. In addition to Swasti, the group comprises of Catalyst Management Services, a consultancy, research and training organization; and Vrutti, a livelihoods resource centre. We work with a range of organizations from grassroots community based organizations to NGOs, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors, government departments and academic and corporate bodies.
Position 1: Associate – Public Health / Health Systems
Positions can be either based in Bangalore or Delhi

The Associate will be part of the team of professionals in conceptualizing and executing a variety of challenging assignments which will include planning, monitoring, research, evaluations, capacity building and documentation.
Desired Profile of the Candidate:
Candidate must have Post Graduate in MPH / MBA with specialization in Health.
Skills in consulting, multi stakeholder interaction and handling and facilitation are critical for this position
At least one year of experience in public health.
Preference will be given to candidates having worked with government agencies.
Good project management experience.
Ability to lead a small, multi-disciplinary team.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Sensitization to issues relating to women and other disadvantaged groups.
Prior experience of training and facilitation shall be an advantage.
Knowledge of English , and at least two other Indian languages
Strong written and spoken communication skills.
Willingness to undertake frequent and extensive travel in the project area.
Compensation Offered: Will be commensurate with experience.
Position 2 : Senior Technical Specialist – Public Health/Health Systems

Job Description:
Incumbent will be directly responsible for conceptualizing and executing a variety of challenging assignments which will include planning, monitoring, research, reform facilitation, capacity building and documentation. He/She will also be, from time to time, responsible for leading a team of professionals.
Desired Profile of the Candidate:
Post Graduate in Public Health, or related field.
Skills in consulting, multi stakeholder interaction and handling and facilitation are critical for this position
Minimum ten years of experience in the area of Public Health, and/or health systems
Good project management experience.
Ability to lead a small, multi-disciplinary team.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Sensitization to issues relating to women and other disadvantaged groups.
Prior experience of training and facilitation shall be an advantage
Working knowledge of Hindi and English
Strong written and spoken communication skills.
Willingness to undertake frequent and extensive travel in the project area. (8-10 days average per month)
Must be strong in either or all of the skills areas: Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Program Design, Costing.
Desired Work Experience: At least ten years
Desirable domain expertise includes: Health systems strengthening, Human Resources for health, Social Protection, Market Based Solutions, Non Communicable Diseases, WASH, Nutrition, Alcohol and Tobacco, Geriatrics
