Professor Gill was approached by a group of computer scientists at MIT’s Lincoln Labs who received a grant to create an outbreak simulation. It works as a game involving 4-5 teams working in parallel. You get data, you respond, the simulation models the impact of your response, you make more decisions, cycle repeats, and millions live or die based on your decisions. The game is being hosted Thursday Nov 1 from 12:30-4:30 in CT305. We are creating 4-5 teams, and these would be a mixture of individuals from the school of medicine, IH, Epi, and biostats as well as some faculty. You must be able to commit to the full four hours.
We have 4 spots open for IH students. To participate, e-mail Lindsey Kinsinger, at lkins@bu.edu, by Friday, October 26 at 5pm.
