AES World Institute is a 501(c)3 organization committed to promoting global citizenship, using language learning to help strengthen communities. We offer intensive, immersion foreign language courses at our location in downtown Boston and organize effective, service-based projects in the surrounding community to help undeserved populations bridge linguistic and cultural barriers.

Non-Profit Management Interns will help oversee various departments and ongoing projects in our growing non-profit organization. We provide a unique management training program for all of our Non-Profit Management Interns. This program instructs on overseeing various departments and ongoing projects in our organization including our three major activities: community language classes, ESL programs for low-income immigrant populations, and medical Spanish classes with partner organizations. Our management training program allows all Non-Profit Interns to experience running a non-profit organization first hand.

Non-Profit Management Interns have a significant impact on the success of our organization’s mission. These unpaid positions give the right candidates the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the management and structures of an ambitious non-profit in the field of social entrepreneurship. Participants in this program will receive an opportunity to strengthen their business skills but also develop long-term professional connections. Interns will gain hands-on experience and training in a division of non-profit management that interests them, including but not limited to:

  • Human Resources Department
  • Development and Sustainability
  • Associated Director of Community Programs: create programs to bring attention to our non-profit
  • Associated Director of Language Programs: assist your group in building a substantial reputation for our language programs, lead and coordinate curriculum development

This is a 6 month internship, running from October 1 to May 1. Interested candidates may apply here.
