February 25th, 2015

The Lesotho-Boston Health Alliance (LeBoHA) has been working for nearly 8 years with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare to implement continuing education and specialty training programs for physicians and nurses as well as sustainable strengthening of district hospitals and their associated health centers through both clinical and management development.   LeBoHA’s current activities are focused on developing the new Family Medicine residency program and instituting site-based competency-focused training on midwifery care for health center nurses.
Interns based in Lesotho provide essential support for the implementation, evaluation, and continued development of these programs. We are currently seeking two interns for the late summer and fall of 2015 (mid-July to mid-December).  Interns are encouraged to apply to the Santander Fellowship program to cover travel and per diem expenses.  Accommodations will be provided.    Interested candidates should submit (1) your statement of interest, (2) your current CV, (3) a copy of your current transcript, and (4) the names of three references to Kristin Shaw at keshaw@bu.edu by March 10, 2015.
