ASPPH Public Health Internship Opportunity for Summer 2016 – Now Accepting Applications

The Association of Schools and Programs of public Health (ASPPH) is now accepting applications for the ASPPH Public Health Internship Program for Summer 2016. This internship program is based at ASPPH headquarters in Washington, DC. The internship will provide a unique experience where the selected student can apply their skills and knowledge learned in the classroom to public health projects of importance to ASPPH and our members. The deadline to apply is Thursday, March 10.

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate student currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program,

OR

  • An undergraduate who is a rising senior or will graduate in spring 2016, with a major in an area of study that focuses on the science and practice of public health, global health, global public health, or closely related field.
  • The degree program being pursued, whether graduate or undergraduate, must be offered through an ASPPH member school or program of public health accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). To see a list of eligible schools and programs, click here.
    • Students attending non-ASPPH member schools or programs are not eligible.
    • For further clarification, the degree must be conferred by the ASPPH-member, CEPH-accredited school or program of public health. Related degrees not conferred by the ASPPH member institution are not eligible.
  • All applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold a visa permitting permanent residence (“Green Card”) in the U.S. to be eligible for the fellowship program.

Specific skills required are listed in the program announcement. Candidates must be able to begin the internship in late-May or early-June 2016 and stay for a minimum of 10 weeks.
