If so, Initiatives Inc. is looking for someone like you to support our work.
Our work spans organizational development, human resources for health, quality improvement, community involvement and operations research. Our current projects are in DRC, Tanzania, Zambia, Bangladesh and Uganda. In each, we strive to strengthen management systems to make organizations more sustainable and transparent, advocate for the needs of communities and vulnerable populations, and develop, test and implement new strategies for improving health systems. Initiatives also supports community health workers (CHWs) and CHW programs through CHW Central.org.
We seek a motivated intern with an interest in developing skills in global health programming, capacity assessments, research, training and literature reviews.

Our intern will:
- Have strong writing and organizational skills
- Conduct literature reviews to widen knowledge on areas, such as mental health, mHealth in community health, supervision strategies, and capacity building
- Contribute to development of training curricula and job aids
- Have strong social media skills, especially in Twitter/Tweetdeck and Facebook
- Review and revise Organizational Capacity Assessment reports
- Contribute to the growth of the CHW Central website by promoting content among the public health community using online platforms
- Regularly update CHW Central website and social media platforms with news, events, and webinars on community health and global health topics and networks
