Bringing communities together and sharing experiences are just some of the reasons why #GlobalStoriesMatter.

During the Global Story Slam, BU students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to tell their global story in front of a live audience. The stories are short – 5 to 8 minutes in length – and centered on the theme Lost in Translation. They can be funny, moving, enlightening, thought-provoking, or surprising – but they must be true.

Our M.C.s for the evening will be:

  • Izzie Donohoe (CAS)
  • Mark Haddad (CAS)
  • Sebastian Salas-Betsch (SED)

This year’s storytellers are:

  • Caleb Felder (ISSO)
  • Shamaila Khan (BUSM)
  • Julliet Mayinja (Study Abroad)
  • Haby Sondo (CGS)
  • Ezgi Toper (COM)

The audience will have the opportunity to score each storyteller, and the one with the highest score at the end of the evening will be awarded the coveted Global Story Slam trophy!
