This spring we are delighted to share several interesting stories regarding our amazing global community. From international students sharing their startup successes to a physics major making remarkable contributions at the CERN particle physics laboratory in Geneva, there is exciting activity happening across BU and overseas. We are encouraged that faculty-led travel to international destinations returned during spring break and that we are nearly back to pre-pandemic enrollment levels for our Study Abroad programs.
Just as the world has continued to open back up, we have continued to expand opportunities for studying, learning and interning abroad and away from campus. Take a look at our most recent program additions in Sydney and London as well as the story below with one of the first BU students to participate in our new Cape Town, South Africa program. We are also celebrating BU in LA’s 20th anniversary and received many touching tributes from alumni – enjoy their memories and submit your own if you were part of that program.
Additionally, we applaud the way the BU community came together during the 11th International Education Week to celebrate all things global and have a recap and photo collage below. Fittingly, the theme for our 11th Annual Photo Contest is Global Engagement. Participate in “People’s Choice” voting for the contest, which will run from April 3 -7.
We hope you enjoy the global activities and stories highlighted within.
Sincerely, Willis G. Wang Vice President and Associate Provost for Global Programs
