Amy Viens is a first year masters student with interests in art curation and destruction in the age of Hitler, nineteenth-century post-impressionism, and the use of public spaces as means of remembrance.
She graduated from the University of Connecticut in December 2023 with a B.A. in Art History, and a B.A. in History. In her undergraduate years, Amy was a curatorial intern at both the Stephen Lawrence Gallery in Greenwich, England, and the William Benton Museum in Storrs, Connecticut.
A previous New England champion and top placer at the world championships of Irish dance, Amy is now a teacher at the Griffith Academy in Wethersfield, Connecticut. She enjoys sketching, painting, and crafting, and looks forward to experiencing the artistic atmosphere of Boston!
