Humphrey Fellowship Program is a Fulbright international exchange initiative led by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Established in 1978 in honor of the late Senator and Vice President who spearheaded initiatives such as the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty of 1963, Food for Peace, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Peace Corps, the Program invites mid-career professionals from designated countries for a year of graduate-level study, professional collaboration with U.S. counterparts, leadership development, and intercultural exchange. Over its thirty eight-year history, the Humphrey Program has built a global alumni network of over 5,000 leaders that includes the President of Guyana and the President of the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank in China. BU is the only university to have continually hosted Humphrey Fellows since the Program’s inception in 1978. Our program has hosted over 500 Fellows from more than 120 countries. The Questrom School of Business serves as the administrative home of the Humphrey Program at BU. This year, Questrom is proud to host ten Fellows from ten countries whose fields of specialization include banking and finance, global education and educational leadership, and public policy and administration.
