Abdulmunm Daboub
Abdulmunm Daboub is the senior legal advisor for the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA). Mr. Daboub assists the LIA in handling complex commercial contracts and contract disputes, providing guidance and assistance to ensure all operations and business activities are carried out in compliance with local laws and regulations. He is also a board member of the LAP Green Network. Mr. Daboub has been a practicing attorney since 1994, starting as legal counsel and then serving as a prosecutor for three years before becoming the managing director of the Prosecutor’s Office.
Mr. Daboub received his bachelor’s degree in law and holds a high diploma in public law from Tripoli University. He also holds a pre-master’s diploma in legal studies from Bournemouth Business School International.
During his Humphrey year, Mr. Daboub intends to develop his leadership skills as well as improve his expertise in the investment sector by learning more about the fundamentals of U.S. investment and banking laws. He wishes to work with an American law firm or American investment bank to enhance his experience in those fields. With this knowledge, he hopes to go back to his homeland to contribute to building a new Libya.
