Engin Ayvaz

Engin Ayvaz is Director of the School of Foreign Languages at Yas¸ar University in Izmir, Turkey. He is an English as a foreign language instructor, manager, and  consultant with 15 years of experience in English Language Teaching (ELT). He is also a licensed Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) reviewer and serves as a member of the committee commissioned to establish the Turkish Accreditation Board for Language Education. He has organized, presented at, and participated in many national and international conferences. His work focuses on excellence in management, accreditation, and organization in ELT. Engin is a graduate of the ELT department at Anadolu University and holds a Cambridge IDLTM Diploma from the SIT Graduate Institute. He has also completed all coursework for an MBA with an emphasis on education at Beykent University. During his Humphrey Fellowship, he plans to learn more about quality assurance maintenance in US higher education institutions, with a special focus on programmatic accreditation.
