Dr. Habibullah Pathan
Dr. Habibullah Pathan is Director and Associate Professor of Language Education at Mehran University Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan. He teaches and supervises MPhil/PhD scholars in the fields of Education, Linguistics and Employee motivation. As Director, Dr. Pathan provides input on English/Education project management, as well as innovative research programs for students and teachers. In 2014, he won funding from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for the establishment of the first ever Self Access Center in the Sindh province of Pakistan at MUET Jamshoro. This Center works as hub for training teachers in the country. Dr Pathan has been credited in 15 research publications and a number of conference talks as presenter and keynote speaker.
Dr. Pathan received a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Sindh, Pakistan as well as a Master’s in ELT and PhD in Second Language Motivation from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. His PhD research was funded by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan on Language Motivation.
As a Humphrey Fellow, Dr. Pathan hopes to learn new techniques and approaches to Language Education project management, research supervision and TEFL teacher education. Under professional affiliation, he wishes to supervise MPhil/PhD scholars in American Universities and act as faculty/trainer and internal or external examiner of research theses.
