Who can submit grants through Hariri Institute?
- Directors of Centers and Initiatives affiliated with the Hariri Institute
- Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences
- Hariri Institute Faculty Affiliates whose proposals have multiple PIs from different departments (collaborative) relevant to Hariri Institute’s research goals
- Proposals that build from an incubation award, FRP, or other research that was seed-funded by the Hariri Institute
- Proposals that incorporate SAIL time
Proposal components and deadlines
Please inform the Institute of planned proposals as soon as possible but at least 15 business days before the sponsor due date.

Completed PSF and required BU internal forms with all required signatures
Final Budget with Budget Justification
Draft Narrative of Abstract
Components Required for Approval & Submission (3 Business Days in Advance)
All required proposal documents are due three business days in advance of the sponsor deadline.
Based on the FOA, these components vary and may include: BioSketches for Key Personnel, Facilities/Equipment pages, Subaward Documents, Final Narrative, Project Abstract, Bibliography, Specific Aims, Milestones, etc.
