Munib Hasnain is a PhD student of Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston. He is interested in taking a joint experimental and computational approach to understanding the control signals involved in motor control. As a graduate student in Dr. Michael Economo’s lab, he currently focuses on gathering behavioral and neural data from mice and applying methods from dynamical systems theory, optimization theory, and deep learning to extract low-dimensional representations of high-dimensional neural activity.
