Phillip Hwang

Phillip Hwang was born in Anchorage, AK, but grew up mostly in Seattle, WA.  Outside of research, Hwang enjoys teaching students and mentoring future researchers, going on hikes and skiing in the winter, and listening and playing music. Hwang played in the orchestra as a violinist during undergrad, and played in a trio with a professor and a PhD student during doctoral studies.

Hwang is a Postdoctoral Associate at BU’s School of Medicine. His research interests include neuroepidemiology, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, traumatic brain injury, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
