As a full-time software engineer at SAIL, Shirene Cao (CAS ’19) designs and develops software applications and libraries that enable and support research efforts in digital health and natural sciences. Shirene currently works on a library for combinatorially specifying, constraining, and exploring genetic design spaces in the field of synthetic biology as part of DARPA’s Living Foundries program. She will also be involved in the development of data science tools for neuroscience and genomic medicine collaborations.
