Vidya Akavoor

After graduating from BU with a degree in computer science, Vidya joined SAIL as a full-time software engineer. Vidya currently works on developing software systems and platforms that enable and enhance genetic circuit design automation across multiple institutions as part of DARPA’s Synergistic Discovery and Design (SD2) program. She is also developing the Game Plan mobile app, which helps young adults with intellectual and developmental delays (IDD) navigate barriers to attain health-related goals. This project is supported by the Hariri Institute’s Research Incubation Awards program.
