Xiao is a postdoctoral researcher hosted by Vinod Vaikuntanathan, MIT Associate Professor, Computer Science and Ran Canetti, BU Professor, Computer Science, CAS. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, as well as his bachelor degree from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
His research interests include computer security, privacy, and cryptography. Currently, he is working on practical multi-party computation, oblivious RAM, and post-quantum cryptography. He likes building real systems based on advanced cryptographic techniques and pushing their limits of practicality.
