Yuhei Miyauchi is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Questrom School of Business and a Junior Faculty Fellow of the Hariri Institute at Boston University. Miyauchi received his bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan, received his PhD in Economics from MIT, and served as a post-doc at Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University.
Miyauchi’s primary research theme is to understand how production and demand linkages shape socio-economic activity within cities and across regions and countries. He tackles these questions using a combination of theory and new sources of granular data, such as cell phone, smartphone data and firm-level transaction data.
