Care Fellowship

The Care Fellowship empowers students to support the BU Jewish community by providing opportunities to care about yourself, your community, and the world.
.

Caring for Yourself and Caring for Your Community

  • Campus Programming: Care Fellows plan programs throughout the semester to support their peers through crafting, meditations, nature excursions, and Care Packages. This year, Care Fellows will learn how to bring educational wellness resources to campus and develop relationship-building skills to provide 1×1 support to their peers. To implement these skills Fellows will create Self Care Sunday once a month where they expose their peers across campus to different wellness practices
  • BU Hillel Loves You Food Delivery: Are you sick, or just need a warm pick me up? The Care Fellowship is happy to deliver Matzoh Ball soup  to you in your dorm! Please order by 4 PM and a Care Fellow will deliver it to you between 5-7 PM. Please click here to order for on-campus delivery only. Deliveries begin after Yom Kippur.

Caring for Your World

  • Caring with JFCS: The Care Fellowship has partnered with JFCS to hold multiple volunteering events throughout the semester. We will care for the world by spending time with adults with disabilities, elderly adults, and assisting with holiday execution for communities who JFCS serves. We aim to create a meaningful relationship between the community. In Spring 2022, Care Fellows helped put on a large community seder in Waltham, which celebrated the Passover Holiday with a focus on discussing the challenges of living with developmental disabilities and mental illness. This is the work of Chesed, kindness. All BU students are welcome to participate.
