Prof. Siegel Wins Wisneski Award for Excellence in Teaching
Professor Benjamin Siegel is the 2020 recipient of the Frank and Lynne Wisneski Award for Excellence in Teaching. In the April 29th faculty meeting over Zoom, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Academic Programs and Policies Joe Bizup announced the faculty teaching awards, saying of Professor Siegel:
Specializing in the modern history and politics of South Asia, Ben joined the History Department as an assistant professor in 2014 and has distinguished himself as a remarkably resourceful, innovative, and committed teacher. He pushes students to engage with difficult ideas and subjects but always in ways that are respectful and empowering.
