Sarah Hastings worked in farm management for eight years before entering the PhD program in 2024. She received her BA in Architectural and Environmental Studies at Mount Holyoke College in 2015. Her research focuses on environmental and agricultural history in 19th and 20th century United States under Dr. Sarah Phillips and Dr. Andrew Robichaud. She also has an interest in digital and spatial methods.
