Rising Stars in Engineering in Health

The 2024 Rising Stars in Engineering in Health Workshop is co-hosted by Boston University, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, and Columbia University. Our goal is to recognize, prepare, and connect the next generation of leaders working at the interface of engineering and biomedicine. Now in its fifth year, the two-day interactive workshop will take place on BU's Charles River Campus on September 13-14, 2024. The event will feature rapid-fire research talks, educational presentations, mock interviews, and panel discussions with faculty. We welcome applicants who are postdoctoral fellows, research scientists, or graduate students planning to apply for faculty positions within two years. We especially encourage applicants from groups historically underrepresented in STEM disciplines. Previous workshop applicants are encouraged to re-apply. The application deadline to be named a 2024 Rising Star in Engineering in Health in May 17, 2024. Faculty interested in participating in the workshop as mock interviewers, discussion panelists, or research talk mentors are encouraged to contact rsngstrs@bu.edu by August 1, 2024.
