Marc Bruno

Chief Operating Officer, Aramark

For almost three decades, Marc Bruno has been a leader at Aramark, joining the company in 1993 while still a student at Cornell University, and then taking on roles of increasing responsibility, leading to his current role as Chief Operating Officer for U.S. Food and Facilities for the $17B Aramark Corporation. In his current position, he sets the standard for the company’s hospitality culture and works with his colleagues to drive growth in the eight businesses he oversees.  

Mr. Bruno’s tenure at Aramark took him from his university campus kitchen to a variety of sales and operating roles in the U.S. and internationally. Over the course of his career, he has successfully demonstrated Aramark’s commitment to service excellence and has continued to play a vital role in earning new business.  

Among his most impressive accomplishments is serving as the leader of Aramark’s Olympic projects, for which the company has served as the dining and catering services provider for 16 Olympic Games. His involvement with the project spans six Olympic Games, dating back to the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.  

From 2009-2013, Mr. Bruno served as president of Aramark’s Sports & Entertainment division and was named COO in 2014. In 2010, Sports Business Journal named him to its annual global list of “Forty Under 40,” recognizing the best and brightest young executives in the sports business industry.  

Mr. Bruno serves on the board of directors of United Rentals and Special Olympics of Pennsylvania and is Vice Chair of the Board for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.  

A graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, Mr. Bruno earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 2001.
