New CRC Student Application Walkthrough

The following images provide a preview of the CRC Housing Application for eligible graduate students. This application must be completed in order to be able to participate in the graduate room selection process . All steps are shown to provide students with information that might be necessary when completing the application. Valuable information is provided at each step.

Graduate Housing Portal & CRC Grad Housing Application

Access the Graduate Housing Portal by clicking here. Enter your BU login name and your Kerberos password. Once logged in, navigate to the CRC Grad Housing Application.

Term Selector

Here, you will be able to select the term for which you are completing the application. Select “Apply” to start your application.

Welcome Page

You will be brought to the welcome page, where the steps for completing the application are outlined. Once you have read it over, click “Save & Continue”.

Graduate Housing Intent

On this page, you will be asked to declare your intent to live in on-campus graduate housing. Students who are interested in signing up for on-campus should answer “yes”

Guarantee Payment Information

Here, the details for how to pay the $500 are outlined. Click “Save & Continue” after reading.

Payment Overview

This is where the guarantee payment of $500 first appears. It will prompt you to “pay now” and bring you to the next step in paying.

Make Payment

Fill in the payment amount of $500. Click on “Next – Payment Method”.

Payment Method

Here, you will select a payment method for your deposit. There are two options to pay: credit/debit or eCheck.

Mid-Year Graduation Information

This section of the application will ask if you are graduating at the end of the Fall semester.

Mid-Year Graduation Agreement

You will be prompted to this page, if you answered “Yes” on the previous page. You will be asked to use your BU ID number to e-sign an agreement stating that you understand you will not be able to terminate your RLA even if you graduate at the end of the Fall semester.

Medical Preferences

If there are any medical preferences that should be taken into consideration when making assignments, please select “Yes”. If you select “Yes,” another page will become available where you can provide more information.

Medical Information

If you have a medical condition, please provide a brief description and reason as to why you need a specific room type or placement.

Personal Insurance Page

On this page, you are asked to acknowledge that you are encouraged to obtain/carry adequate personal property insurance, as the University’s insurance program is limited to coverage of University-owned property.

Additional Occupants

This section of the application will ask if you wish to add any additional occupants to live with you. Additional occupants can be BU students but do not have to be. Students with additional occupants cannot live in dorm-style graduate housing. You can learn more about Additional Occupants here.

Here, you will indicate the number of additional occupants you will be applying with. Students can add up to two additional occupants to their application.

What’s Next

This is the last page before the selection pages. Here, you will be given important room selection details and timeline.

Room Selection Information

This page will become available for you to view once your Room Selection Timeslot is released. Here, you will be able to view your given room selection timeslot. Once it is your time to select, you can click on “Save & Continue”.

Area Selection

In this step, you will be able to select residences by campus area. Check our Graduate Residences page for more detailed information.

Room List

A list of all available rooms in the campus area previously selected will appear on this step. You can narrow down your search by room type and residence location. Once you have picked your desired room, click on “Reserve Unit”.

If at any time you wish to go back, click the “Go Back” button at the bottom of the page.

Assign Beds

On this page, you will have the ability to assign yourself to the space you have selected. You will have 5 minutes to complete this step, during which time your chosen room will be reserved and appear unavailable to other students.

If at any time you wish to go back, click the “Go Back” button at the bottom of the page.

Confirmation

In this step, you will be able to view and confirm your chosen assignment one last time. To confirm your assignment, select “Confirm Assignment”. You will not be able to return to change or make any other assignments after this step.

If you’re not satisfied with the assignment(s), please select “Go Back.” before confirming your assignment.

Here, you will find details regarding what the Graduate Residence License Agreement will entail. It is important to read all the information on this page, before proceeding.

Graduate Move-In Scheduler

This page will become available later in the summer and closer to the move-in date. Students will be emailed once this page is available for them to choose when they plan on moving into their on-campus graduate housing.
