Graduate Mail

Students assigned to graduate residences, with the exception of Peabody Hall, will have their letter mail and packages delivered directly to their residence mailboxes by the United States Postal Service and other carriers, including UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. Please note that students’ on-campus mailbox numbers are the same as their room numbers.

The following address format should be used on all mail sent to students:

NameApartment [Apartment Number]*Street AddressBoston, MA 02215**

Do not use the words “Post Office Box” or “P.O. Box,” as that denotes the United States Post Office, not Boston University.

** Medical Student Residence use zip code 02119. For 39-43 St. Mary’s Street and 7 Euston Street use Brookline, MA 02446.

Since letter mail and packages for graduate residences are not filtered through the on-campus student mailrooms, any questions regarding letter and package delivery must be directed to the specific carrier.

Questions regarding United States Postal Service letter mail delivery may be directed to the United States Postal Service Customer Service Line, 1-800-275-8777 or online at www.usps.com. Students must put their name on their residence mailbox in order to have mail delivered.
