One of several Queen Anne style residences built in 1890 on the north side of Beacon Street west of Kenmore Square for prominent developers W.D. Vinal and George Wheatland, Jr. All, including 822, were designed by Samuel D. Kelley. You can see other BU residences designed by Kelley along Beacon Street at 832, 845, 850, 853, 856, 906, and 908, and at 90 St. Mary’s Street.
The building is located in BU’s South Campus, a tranquil, private neighborhood that features a mix of families, young professionals, and BU neighbors. Central campus is right over the BU Bridge, while a short walk across Beacon Street puts you in the Fenway area. Nearby, you’ll find groceries, restaurants, shops, and more. South sits between the B- and C-lines, giving you great access to the rest of Boston.
Off-campus feel, on-campus convenience: South Campus has it all!
