This residence for both graduate and undergraduate students is one of several row houses built for Wheatland and Vinal, two prominent Boston developers, in the Georgian Revival Style. Completed in 1893, the building was designed by Samuel D. Kelley, a prolific architect in the Back Bay and surrounding areas. You can see other BU residences designed by Kelley along Beacon Street at 822, 832, 845, 850, 852, 853, 856, 862, 906, and 908, and at 90 St. Mary’s Street.

On the north side of Beacon Street, the building lies within South Campus, a tranquil, private neighborhood that features a mix of families, young professionals, and BU neighbors. Central campus is right over the BU Bridge, while a short walk across Beacon Street puts you in the Fenway area. Nearby, you’ll find groceries, restaurants, shops, and more. South sits between the B- and C-lines, giving you great access to the rest of Boston.

Off-campus feel, on-campus convenience: South Campus has it all!
