Central Campus

True to its name, Central Campus housing sits right at the heart of our Charles River Campus, easily accessible to all undergraduate schools including the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Communications, and the College of Engineering. Just steps away, you’ll find labs, libraries, offices, performance venues, and the George Sherman Union. West Campus, including FitRec and Agganis Arena, is a short stroll west while bustling Kenmore Square is minutes to the east. This central location provides easy access to the MBTA’s B-Line, which stops right at your doorstep on Commonwealth Avenue.

Fenway Campus

For a taste of in-town living, consider Fenway, BU’s newest campus. As the name implies, you’ll be right in the heart of Boston’s Fenway neighborhood and close to South Campus. Dining and activities abound, as well as the Wheelock Family Theatre, Target, groceries, and supplies. You can reach BU’s central campus including the School of Arts and Sciences, Questrom School of Business, via a pleasant 15-minute walk or a short ride on the BU shuttle.

South Campus

South Campus is a tranquil, private neighborhood along St. Mary’s and surrounding streets in the Charles River Campus. A short walk across Beacon Street puts you in the Fenway area and the center of campus. Nearby, you’ll find groceries, restaurants, shops, and within walking distance to the College of Engineering and the College of Communications. Roaming farther afield is easy, too. While all campus areas are right by the B-line, South sits between the B- and C-lines, giving you greater access to the rest of Boston.

Specialty Communities

BU offers a lot more than just a comfortable living space. Our housing options are designed to foster intellectual growth and interpersonal connections by bringing together students who share academic or extracurricular interests.
