In addition, summer interns have the option to purchase convenience points, which are used like cash to purchase meals in the residence dining halls, for á la carte dining in any of the University-operated retail dining establishments, for purchases at City Convenience stores and Barnes & Noble at BU, and in most laundry and vending machines on-campus. Convenience points are purchased in increments of $25 by emailing the Terrier Card Office.

Fitness & Recreation Center

While staying on campus, you are eligible to purchase a membership to Boston University’s state-of-the-art fitness & recreation center! FitRec welcomes BU guests to beat the heat in their phenomenal facilities, such as an indoor jogging track, squash and racquetball courts, two swimming pools, a fitness center, and more. Stop by the front desk to purchase a one-day pass or a temporary weekly membership at very affordable rates.

The Terrier Card

All summer interns are required to have a Terrier Card, which should always be carried. The Terrier Card office is located on the first floor of 25 Buick Street, BU Housing. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, excluding University holidays. If you uploaded a photo for your Terrier Card in a timely manner, your Terrier Card will be available for pick up at the time of your check-in from your check-in location. If a photo was not uploaded in a timely manner, Terrier Cards should be picked up at the Terrier Card Office.

Transportation Services

Plan to have a car on campus this summer? Boston University offers safe, secure, and off-street parking to our resident guests. Visit Transportation Services for options, rates, and availability, or email transportation@bu.edu.  The quoted summer rate will be prorated to match the dates of your stay.
