Gender-Affirming Healthcare and Health Benefits

We are fortunate to live in a region that has a wide array of trans-affirmative and gender-informed medical practitioners. While the University cannot make recommendations about specific providers, the LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff’s database of area resources may prove helpful.

If enrolled in Boston University’s health or dental plans, you are entitled to benefits reflecting your gender identity. Information about insurance coverage issues can be found by contacting the Human Resources Service Center or the health plan directly.
