Benefits for Full-Time Faculty

Eligibility

All full-time and part-time faculty covered under the Boston University Faculty Handbook are eligible for Paid Family and Medical Leave benefits.

These benefits maintain and expand existing leave policy, providing, in general, up to 26 weeks of leave at full to all faculty

In addition, these benefits offer greater flexibility, with more circumstances qualifying for leave benefits such as care for a family member, bonding with a newly-arrived child, and certain military-related leaves.

These benefits exceed those required by Massachusetts State law.
