Boston University to Divest From Fossil Fuels

Last week, the Trustees of Boston University voted to divest the university endowment from fossil fuels. As part of their deliberations, Peter Fox-Penner, co-director of the BU Impact Measurement & Allocation Program and founding director of the ISE, shared a brief presentation, Climate Change & Responsible Investing: The Opportunities.

Cutler Cleveland, ISE interim director and professor of Earth & Environment, who has also played an advisory role as part of the decision-making process, said, “It is very gratifying to see the University align its investment priorities with the priorities of its research and teaching missions. I am very pleased with the work that the ISE contributed to the discussion of divestment.”
